Build 140 is the biggest update yet. TechTV can now put its own live graphics on a stream through a new Overlay Engine and Scene Editor, recordings carry their cue data with them wherever they go, and movie player full screen has been rebuilt inside the main window.

New Features

• Overlay Engine. TechTV now serves a live graphics overlay from http://localhost:8008. Point an OBS browser source at it and get cue lists, timecode, show name, cue labels, notes, scene names, progress, and previous cue values drawn directly on your stream with nothing else in the path.
• Scene Editor (File > Scene Editor, Cmd+E) builds and arranges overlay scenes.
• Cue list overlays mirror the app's own cue list, with running, current, and finished row states and scene bars.
• Cue list overlays have parts!
• Event data travels with your recordings. TechTV writes a .ttv sidecar file beside a movie the first time it is opened, holding every logged event keyed to the media position. A movie and its sidecar can be copied to any machine and keep their cues.
• Embed event data inside the movie. Right-click a movie player for Embed Metadata In Movie, Update Embedded Metadata, and Remove Embedded Metadata. The cue list then survives a copy, a rename, or a careless drag. QuickTime .mov files only, see Known Issues.
• OBS record start, stop, pause, and resume are now log events. Pauses are compensated everywhere, so cues that happened while OBS was paused land at the right spot on the timeline.
• Collapsible cue list sidebar. Hide or show the cue list with View > Show/Hide Cue List (Cmd+/) or the button at the left of the title bar to give the movie players and log the full width of the window.
• New title bar. The old cue status strip is gone. The window's title bar now carries the timecode, show name, and clock, more closely resembling an EOS screen.
• View > Use MacOS Full Screen forces you into MacOS full screen when double clicking or enlarging a movie player, hiding the titlebar and the dock.
• View > Full Screen Status Bar allows you to choose wether to keep the status bar with timecode/showname/clock when in MacOS full screen. It is always present (as part of the titlebar) in windowed-full screen.
• View > Full Screen Command Line allows you to suppress or show the command line and connection status when in full screen players.
• File > Open Video File/Folder (Cmd+O) browses for a video or folder for the active player.

Fixed Bugs

• Cue elapsed timers are more accurate and no longer carry a drift potential
• Scenes stay put on cues other than the one with the scene name.
• Timeline scroll glitching fixed.
• Event search was missing some events when you rolled over an hour.
• Popovers no longer clip at the corners on macOS Tahoe.
• Popover warnings no longer pull you out of MacOS full screen.

Changed Behavior

• Movie player full screen now happens inside the main window instead of a separate window, with an animated transition.
• The movie player's file list collapses automatically in full screen and returns when you exit.
• The cue list sidebar and its title bar button are hidden while EOS is disconnected.

Known Issues

• Embedding metadata only works for QuickTime .mov files.
• Scene Editor: rectangle and line objects do not yet render on the overlay, image objects cannot be created.
